The theme of the Spring Brown Bag Cocktail Hour is to explore the joy, pleasure, trials and tribulations of doing different kinds of research.

The cocktail hour is going to provide a space where colleagues from diverse research traditions discuss how they approach their research. The accent is on the informal – this is not a seminar but a chat. We want to dig into the working process of doing research on an ongoing basis – why do you write? What compels you to press on? We also want to try and focus our discussions around the pleasure and excitement of doing research and sustaining interest and focus across time.
