The departments of Landscape Architecture, Global Arts and Cultures, and the Architecture and Design division welcome Professor of Anthropology Anna Lowenhaupt Tsing, author of Field Guide to the Patchy Anthropocene (Stanford University Press, forthcoming), who will present a talk called The New Nature. Tsing teaches at the University of California, Santa Cruz and Aarhus University (in Denmark) and has written or contributed to many scholarly books, including The Mushroom at the End of the World (Princeton University Press, 2015). Her research follows the humble trails of mushrooms into the great economic, cultural and ecological dilemmas of our times.
